We’re Heading Back to Tasmania!

This is it! I’m stoked to announce that there are not ONE, but TWO guided MTB trips planned to Tasmania, Australia coming up. I was last in Tasmania leading a group of guided clients to ride sweet trails as well as to watch the Enduro World Series Round in April 2017. It was an AMAZING experience and I can’t wait to go back once more.

The first one is the Tasmania Continental Enduro Series (EWSC)/MTB Trip 2018, happening from 8 to 18 November this year. The trip coincides with the EWSC, which gives participants a chance to watch the Asia Pacific region’s best enduro racers in action on the iconic trails of Derby.

Heck, participants could very well be the region’s best enduro racers – they could join our package, execute the race weekend (practice on Saturday, race on Sunday), and then switch into full tourist/low-key shredder mode from Monday onwards – as our journey continues on the slew of other trails this itinerary has to offer. I’m just saying: Blue Tier… Hollybank Park’s Juggernaut… Hobart’s North-South Track… Maydena (freakin’!) Bike Park… and the very real option of a heli-drop ride (a first-in-Australia ride option) on some private MTB tracks which would otherwise be inaccessible.

Hitting a drop at Hollybank Park’s skills center.

The second one is the Tasmania Enduro World Series (EWS)/MTB Trip 2019, happening from 28 March to 7 April in 2019. The itinerary is almost identical to the EWSC/MTB Trip 2018, but adds on an extra day ahead of the race weekend. Reasons? Because participants STILL get a chance to race the same course as the professional EWS racers do on Saturday (via the Challenger enduro event, an amateur competition that uses some of race stages as Sunday’s full-blown EWS Round). Of course, the main draw would be watching the world’s best enduro athletes racing their hearts out – amidst some of the most raucous spectator crowds (hecklers!) you can find in the Southern Hemisphere.

All trips are curated, planned, and executed by professional mountain bike guides who combine their friendly demeanour, in-depth local knowledge, and leadership with on-the-go skills instruction to beef up the riding skills of participants as needed. Package inclusions: all accommodation (with guests roomed in at boutique hotels or suburban/rural chalets & ‘B&B’ properties), all land transfers/shuttle uplifts – including drivers, bike park entry fees, mechanical and first aid support, and most meals.

So… not just riding sweet trails, but also being a spectator and cheering the world’ best mountain bikers, and if you can, going #fullenduro yourself and actually racing. Yup, this is not your average MTB trip! Sound like your kind of jam? Simply inquire here, and find out how you can be a rider on one of these Tassie mountain bike dream trips!
